How to disable auto-dubbing for your YouTube channel

Auto-dubbing might be one of the most hated YouTube features right now. If you have a YouTube channel and don’t want your viewers to get mad at you [relevant YouTube video], you can ensure that it is not enabled by following the steps below.

  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio on your computer.
  2. Click Settings (bottom left).
  3. Go to Upload defaultsAdvanced settings.
  4. Ensure Automatic dubbing is disabled.
  5. Click Save.

Note: This will prevent YouTube from automatically generating dubbed audio tracks for all your future uploads. If you want to remove existing dubs, you’ll have to manually unpublish them.
